In order to ensure the effectiveness and ultimately efficient implementation of the project “Strengthening Tuberculosis Control in the Penitentiary System of Azerbaijan” (AZE-910-G06-T) of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed an order on the establishment of the Project Implementation Group (PIG) on November 23, 2010. The PIG was established directly under the supervision of the Principal Recipient (the Main Medical Department of the Ministry of Justice).
